From Alabama Honduras Medical Educational Network: “This is Arleny Danny Zelaya. 22 years. She was diagnosed with infantile paralysis at the age of 4 months. Although she walked some, at the age of 20 she broke her knee. She has had 2 surgeries trying to get her to walk, but she hasn’t been able to. She has to take medications continually. She can’t talk, but she does hear.”
